Providing equipment rental and tool hire services for construction equipment and DIY tools across Wiltshire and Somerset.
To ensure the safe and efficient transport of our equipment, [Your Business Name] operates under the following delivery terms for tool hire delivery and equipment collection. By booking our services, you agree to these conditions.
Scheduling: Our delivery terms indicate that delivery times are estimates. While we strive to meet the requested time slots for tool hire delivery, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances. Costs: Delivery and equipment collection charges are calculated based on distance and the type of equipment hired. These fees will be quoted at the time of booking and must be paid in advance. Responsibility: The Hirer must ensure that a responsible person is present at the delivery address at the agreed time to accept the equipment and sign the delivery note.
Access Requirements: The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is accessible for our vehicles as part of the delivery terms. This includes providing adequate clearance for width and height, along with ground conditions suitable for the heavy equipment involved in tool hire delivery. Hazardous Conditions: If our driver deems the delivery site unsafe or inaccessible, we reserve the right to refuse delivery. In such cases, a failed delivery fee will apply. Placement: Our drivers will make every reasonable effort to place the equipment in the location requested by the Hirer during equipment collection. However, we are not responsible for any damage caused to driveways, lawns, or underground services (pipes, cables) if we are instructed to operate off public roads.
Verification: Upon delivery of the tool hire, the Hirer must inspect the equipment. Signing the delivery note is part of the delivery terms, confirming that the equipment has been received in good working order and is free from visible damage. Reporting Defects: Any damage, missing parts, or mechanical issues must be noted on the delivery documentation and reported to the office immediately. Claims for damage reported after the driver has left the site may not be accepted. This includes issues related to equipment collection.
Notice of Return: The Hirer must notify the Owner when the equipment is ready for collection, referred to as the "Off-Hire" notice. Please note that hire charges continue to accrue until the equipment is officially off-hired. Return Readiness: As part of the delivery terms, equipment must be made available for collection at the agreed time. It should be clean, dry, and in the same configuration as when it was delivered. Accessibility: For efficient equipment collection, the equipment must be left in an accessible, ground-level location. If our driver cannot access the equipment, a failed collection fee may be charged, and the hire period will be extended until a successful collection is completed.
If we are unable to conduct the equipment collection or deliver the items due to the Hirer’s failure to provide access, not having a representative on-site, or the equipment not being ready, the Hirer will incur a 'Failed Trip' fee. This fee accounts for the driver’s time and transport costs associated with the tool hire delivery.
Failed Trip: £60.00 + VAT for tool hire delivery due to issues with delivery terms and equipment collection.
